Abstract: Migrating a massive Classic ASP application to ASP.NET MVC is no easy task—especially when you’re dealing with undocumented code, stored procedures, and session-heavy logic. In this talk, I’ll walk through how I modernized a legacy codebase using ASP.NET MVC *with the help of Large Language Models (LLMs)* like ChatGPT and Gemini. From decoding old VBScript to generating migration-ready C# code, LLMs served as a co-pilot throughout the journey. Expect practical examples, side-by-side code conversions, and a behind-the-scenes look at how AI can accelerate legacy modernization.

Hands-on workshop: Build smarter web apps with Firebase and Gemini

Abstract: Building AI-powered web apps is easier than thought. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to integrate AI features like image description, summarisation, and personalised recommendations into your web app with minimal code using Firebase Extensions and the Gemini API. Using Node.js, Next.js, and TypeScript, we’ll explore how to leverage Firebase Cloud Functions and Extensions to create compelling, intelligent user experiences powered by Gemini’s language models.
